GLANCDA and CNCDA Foundation Host Career Fairs to Inspire Future Automotive Technicians

Over 350 Students Attend Events at Citrus and Cerritos Colleges

Career Fair

Los Angeles, CA — May 4, 2025 — The Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association (GLANCDA), in partnership with the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA) Foundation, proudly cohosted two successful automotive career information and job fair events on May 1 and 2 at Citrus College and Cerritos College, respectively. Together, the events welcomed more than 350 high school and community college students currently enrolled in automotive technology and repair programs.

At Citrus College on May 1, more than 200 students participated in a full day of learning and engagement with local new car dealerships, college faculty, and industry experts. The day included a hands-on work station competition featuring 14 student contestants. Snap-on Tools supported the competition by providing prizes, helping to encourage and recognize student achievement in technical skills.

Dealership employees from the Greater Los Angeles area attended and spoke with students about job openings and career pathways within their service departments. A moderated industry panel led by GLANCDA Executive Director Bob Smith featured seasoned professionals and two current student technicians, who answered questions and shared insights about their own educational and career journeys.

The following day at Cerritos College, the experience was repeated for another group of over 150 students from the southern region of Los Angeles County. Both events provided an invaluable opportunity for students to explore career and educational pathways, ask questions, and make professional connections.
